Hands down, the BEST real estate agent that we have ever worked with (and we've worked with quite a few). My husband and I took over 3 years to FINALLY select a Muskoka property that suited all of our needs.

Dan was exceptionally patient and understanding with us throughout the entire process - to the point where we had t-shirts made up that said, "For Sure." This was Dan's signature saying when we asked him if we were EVER going to find something that suited us!

“I have had the good fortune to own many properties over the years, most of which I later sold as I moved to new places as part of building a business. As a result of this, I have hired many different real estate agents – in Toronto, Florida, Vancouver and elsewhere. None of the agents that I used previously can hold a candle to Ben and Dan Imrie. They are, quite simply, the best real estate agents I have ever worked with. Their combination of hard work, persistence and market knowledge is unmatched in all of my previous experience. The fact they sold my cottage in the midst of the worst recession in 70 years, tells the story.

Specifically, Ben & Dan worked diligently to attract showings and generate multiple offers for my property. The marketing program they implemented to sell my cottage was first-rate: the physical documents (hand-outs, pamphlets, etc.) they produced, as well as the online/internet material they generated, was leading-edge and contributed greatly to attracting prospective buyers.

I live out of province and often travel for work. Their grasp of technology made long distance paperwork and regular communications a pleasure. Dan was a very effective agent for us. While we had owned a cottage in Muskoka for a number of years, we had always thought about finding that perfect property. Over a few years, Dan showed us numerous properties, but none seemed to be "the one". He persevered and, finally, the property we were looking for came available. With Dan's effort, we were one of the first to see the property and to have a chance to make an offer. After signing a deal on the new property, Dan helped us get a fair price in a short period of time on our old property so we didn't have to worry about holding two cottages.

Dan is low key and user friendly. He is always accessible (including by email, which we found very handy). Even after our purchase and sale, he has kept in touch to find ways to be helpful.

Dan is the consummate real estate agent. Understanding the eagerness in our initial contact, Dan showed us almost every suitable property within 48 hours of our first call. He fully respected and understood our requirements and parameters. He was also wise enough to show us a few cottages on the far ends of our spectrum, which helped us better focus. THE BEST REALESTATE AGENTS WE HAVE EVER WORKED WITH.

Dan checks his messages while on vacation in Florida and RETURNS Calls ASAP. Ben will keep appointments to view cottages in snowstorms if need be. Dan always took digital pictures of properties first, and emailed them to us, so we could decide if we wanted to see a property before makeing the long drive.

Even after viewing dozens of cottages Dan & Ben NEVER pressured us to make a decission. They wrote every offer we thought was fair and were always honest and straight forward with their opinion.

We now own the cottage of our dreams thanks to Dan & Ben.

We would never Buy or sell with any other realestate agents in cottage country.

We just wish we could use them to sell our house in the city.

Dan Imrie is a special agent. Patient, as in spending 5 years with me til we finally bought a cottage in fall, 2006. Thorough, as to check into our needs and how the cottage would match up. Tough, as a negotiator for his client in dealing with the vendor, and I am certain acting the same way if were the seller.
Pleasant, as in no matter how many cottages we drag him to, he always exhibits the same calm demeanour.
